Holy Protein, Batman! Now They’re Saying Lo-Pro is the Way to Go

August 24, 2016 By Irv Rubenstein

Less Sleep + More Fat = Less Body Fat?After years of current research showing that the high-simple carb diets we were encouraged to eat back in the 70s and 80s lead to more obesity, and that we needed to add more (healthy) fats to our diets, and that higher protein might help more people lose weight by controlling both hunger and blood sugar, a study comes out saying,

Low-Protein Dient Enhances Glucose MetabolismWhoa! Maybe you need LESS protein in order to control weight.

Low-Protein Diet Enhances Glucose Metabolism

Well, it really doesn’t quite say that but it does show, on rodents, that the body will respond to a low-pro diet as if a stressor has been introduced, and reactions will occur bodily that will burn calories at a higher rate as it tries to create protein from carbs.

And if this works in humans, other than the small study of 5 that was reported on, then maybe we can all go back to eating more simple carbs.

Yay!!! ?
